Dr. Robin Shorrock

I began my career in Boston as an R.N, working in Cardiac Care for many years until I decided to change paths and pursue my passion for vision. Returning to school, I graduated from New England College of Optometry in 1983 and moved to Ft. Lauderdale to begin my second career. I worked in several group practices in Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale until early 1998, when I decided to open East Side Vision Center and go into private optometric practice, a decision I will never regret.

To be involved on a personal level with many of my patients is most rewarding. In fact, I am now seeing the fourth generation of many families! For thirty years, I have cared for Broward’s east side community. A full service family vision center for the residents of Ft. Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and Deerfield Beach. We are growing up and old together.

On a personal note, I was on the board of directors of the lighthouse of Broward for 10 years an organization with a goal of independence for the visually impaired and the  blind serving infants to seniors. I served as Chairman of the board for three  years. Currently I serve as special advisor to the board.  The impact that the Lighthouse of   Broward  makes on their clients, families, and our community is immeasurable.
