Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses are a wonderful way to correct your vision. Thanks to the ever developing and advancing technologies in the optical field, contacts are a now a viable option for many people, and are available in most prescriptions. Contact lens manufacturers have been making great strides in the “bifocal or multifocal” contact lens arena and new designs are quickly being created for the ever-emerging over 40 population.

Many new materials and modalities are available that provide more oxygen and are less drying to the surface of the eye. Previous contact lens wearers that were unsuccessful in the past are now able to wear contact lenses comfortably.

For the occasional wearer, most prescriptions are available in one-day disposable lenses. This modality requires no cleaning or storage of the contact lenses and is great for weekends and travel.

Every contact lens plan is tailored for each patient. As Dr. Shorrock says, “I may have 10 people, all the same age with the same vision prescription but because of different jobs, visual demands and personalities, they are all in different contact lens systems. Everyone is unique.
